In September of 2002, the United Way of Greenville County, in collaboration with a broad range of Community Partners, embarked on an effort to create a Community Impact Agenda for Greater Greenville. Completed in June of 2003, the Community Impact Agenda provides focus on the community's most urgent needs, serves as a strategic investment guide for our community, the United Way and other entities and assists local charitable foundations, in making wise and meaningful community investment decisions based on achieving measurable results and positive impact relating to the issues that matter most to our community. A complete copy of the agenda, as well as supporting research, can be downloaded below. Five volunteer-driven councils have been formed (one for each of the five identified focus areas) to develop strategies for achieving measurable results. |
