United Way Be A Bunny

"United Way Be a Bunny” invites employees of local companies to provide Easter Baskets to needy children and senior citizens identified by local nonprofit organizations. United Way provides participating companies with a basket filled of names and brief descriptions of children and/or senior citizens.  Employees then select names and prepare baskets for UW staff to collect and distribute before Easter. This project begins in mid February and wraps up in early April.

United Way/BI-LO School Tools

"United Way School Tools” is designed to give students of low-income families the supplies they need to begin the school year - school supplies that are needed to start the first day of school ready to learn. Each participating company is given a school bus box filled with names and brief descriptions of students.  Employees then select a name of a child and prepare a school tools bag. Corporate sponsor BI-LO provides backpacks to every student.  United Way distributes the bags of supplies and bookbags to children in time to begin the new school year. This project begins in mid- June and wraps up in early August.

In recent years, 2,200 baskets and 2,600 backpacks were distributed in the Be A Bunny and School Tools programs. If you would like to help this year, then please call United Way of Greenville County at 467-3400. Thank You!
