Running a Workplace Campaign
in Your Company United Way of Greenville County partners with local businesses, individuals, government and nonprofits in a community-wide effort to address the human care needs of our community. By committing to conduct a workplace campaign, you join more than 900 local organizations that support the annual fund-raising effort. Last year, more than 43,000 donors invested in our community through their United Way workplace campaign.
A United Way workplace campaign allows you to support our entire community. Your employees receive valuable information about the needs in Greenville County and can easily help address those needs with a generous gift utilizing the convenience of payroll deduction.

Running a Palmetto Society Workplace Campaign in Your Company The Palmetto Society campaign is a subset of the overall United Way employee campaign directed at securing gifts of $1,000 or more. Palmetto Society prospects participate in a special solicitation for leadership giving. The CEO typically hosts a solicitation event, a lunch, breakfast or cocktails, and/or sends a personalized letter. A United Way volunteer leader and/or agency speaker are often part of the meeting. These functions should include your company’s current Palmetto Society members to ask for their renewed support and to thank them for their leadership and generosity. Employees should also be made aware of involvement opportunities such as African American Leadership, Women’s Leadership and the Young Philanthropists (age 40 and under). For more information about conducting a Palmetto Society workplace campaign, contact Roxanne Cromartie at 864.467.3517 or rcromartie@unitedwaygc.org Tools for Running a Palmetto Society Workplace Campaign
