It's cool to be in AALG
United Way's African American Leadership Greenville County (AALG) held its annual FANtastic event June 21 to recognize leadership donors and celebrate their commitment to this community.
Every member of AALG has contributed $1,000 or more to United Way of Greenville County to be used to support programs and initiatives helping individuals, families and neighborhoods throughout Greenville County. The event was held at the Thornblade Country Club where guests reconnected with old friends, met new friends and shared the importance of United Way's work.
The event also serves to help seniors in our community as AALG members collected portable fans from attendees, which will be distributed to those in need of cooling during the hot summer months via United Way partner SHARE.
