United Way partners with FamilyWize to help families save on prescription drug costs

Thousands of Greenville County residents lack reasonable access to affordable, quality health care.

In an effort to assist individuals and families in accessing the health care system, United Way of Greenville County has joined nearly 1,000 United Ways nationwide in partnering with the FamilyWize Prescription Drug Discount Card program.

• No applications, no fees, no waiting
• 20 percent or more average savings on drug costs
• Covers everyone without health insurance or prescription coverage
• No age, income or citizenship restrictions
• Widely accepted at 95 percent of all pharmacies nationwide
• Covers all medicine not covered by insurance, Medicaid, Medicare or other benefit plans
• Can be used during Medicare Part D plans’ “doughnut hole”
• All cards are bilingual (English and Spanish)
