Financial Accountability

United Way of Greenville County is recognized as a leader in the community. Our work in bringing people together to create positive impact and deliver innovative solutions to our community's most pressing needs makes us unique and we're able to do this very efficiently. In this day of increased competition for charitable gifts, donors' standards and expectations have never been higher. Rightfully so, United Way of Greenville County understands the importance of ongoing organizational excellence and accountability. Only 12.3% of funds raised by our United Way is used for fundraising and administration—making it among the lowest overhead costs of any nonprofit in the nation. United Way is this efficient because community support keeps costs to a minimum—including extensive volunteer leadership, executives "loaned" by companies, public service advertising donations and more.
