Free school supplies available to Greenville County students

Thousands of Greenville County students will get the tools they need to start the school year on the right foot thanks to United Way of Greenville County's annual School Tools project.

Once again, United Way is teaming up with area companies to provide school supplies to students in grades 4K–8. Eligible families may pick up their school supplies during the annual School Tools distribution on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Juanita Butler Community Center (2 Burns Street, Greenville, SC).

To be eligible, families must show a Medicaid card, a letter of free/reduced lunch eligibility from the Greenville County School district or EBT card, as well as photo ID. Families must fill out a short application at the distribution site, then supplies will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to those who qualify.
