United Way Holds Special Recognition Event for Leadership Contributors

(Greenville, SC)…More than 1,000 individuals who are members of United Way's Palmetto Society attended a special thank you event to recognize their outstanding generosity to the community.  Members of The Palmetto Society contribute $1,000 or more annually to our community through their support of United Way.  The event was held at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research campus in the Carroll A. Campbell Graduate Engineering Center.
 
About the United Way Palmetto Society:
Through annual gifts of $1,000 or more, members of United Way's Leadership Giving Society—The Palmetto Society—have set a standard in caring that is second to none.
In 2007, 3,443 donors contributed a collective $6.1 million. 

By choosing to join together in their giving, United Way contributors make such a difference in the lives of so many in our community.  United Way only invests in programs that truly impact an individual's life in measurable and definable ways. United Way of Greenville County currently funds more than 90 programs to address critical community needs in the following critical issue areas:  children, youth, families, health, and crisis.
