A Toast to Friendship & Impact
Friendship is powerful. When you pair it with purpose, it becomes unstoppable.
This February, Women United gathered for our “Wear One, Bring One” Galentine — an evening rooted in sisterhood, generosity and tangible impact. Guests brought a gal pal and, if they were able, a new bra or pair of underwear to donate, items that are critically needed by women in Greenville County and often overlooked in traditional donation drives.
Between charcuterie cups, laughter and meaningful conversations, something powerful happened: community showed up for community.
Why It Mattered
The evening featured a short program with speakers from our incredible partners at Jasmine Road and Safe Harbor, who reminded us what support truly looks like: a safe place to land, someone who believes in you and the resources to rebuild.
After the event, our partners at Safe Harbor shared this message:
“I took everything to the shelter last night and the ladies were so thankful for the beautiful cards.”
Your kindness and generosity made an immediate and meaningful impact to the women in our community and we are so grateful! It’s easy to underestimate something as simple as a new undergarment or a handwritten card. But dignity starts with the basics. Knowing someone you’ve never met took the time to think of you, that stays with you.
This Is What Community Looks Like
Women United isn’t just about events. It’s about showing up.
It’s about believing that when women invest in women, entire families and neighborhoods grow stronger. It’s about creating spaces where generosity and joy coexist. It’s about knowing that someone in Greenville has a safe place to land because this community chose to care.
The event was a huge success — not just because of what was collected, but because of what was created: connection, compassion and collective impact.
