Greg Van De Voorde Named Vice President of Marketing and Communications 

United Way of Greenville County has promoted Greg Van De Voorde to serve as the organization’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

A 12-year veteran of the organization, Van De Voorde will now lead the development, execution and evaluation of United Way of Greenville County’s marketing, public relations and communication strategies.

“Greg has played an instrumental role in our marketing and communications efforts over the years, helping us tell United Way’s story in creative, engaging and innovative new ways,” said United Way President and CEO Meghan Barp. “We’re excited to add his insight and expertise to our leadership team and look forward to his continued success in the role.”

A graduate of Indiana University, Van De Voorde has more than 20 years of communications experience as a writer, editor, videographer and journalist, and has been recognized by the South Carolina Press Association with 11 individual awards for his writing and photography.

Most recently, Van De Voorde was the Senior Director of Brand Communications for United Way, serving as the chief storyteller and creative lead for the nonprofit’s communication efforts.

“It’s a great honor for me to accept this new role with an organization I truly love,” Van De Voorde said. “I believe United Way is the most effective way to create big change in Greenville County and the inspiring personal stories of our impact motivate me and our team every day.”
