This past year demanded more from our community than most. Once again, our community responded.
At a time when housing was out of reach for too many families, we launched Greenville Together to move people from homelessness into homes. When the federal government shutdown caused fear and uncertainty for families already struggling to make ends meet, we stepped in quickly to ensure our neighbors did not fall through the cracks. We invested in key nonprofit partners to provide a safety net for those most at risk and a springboard for those who needed a little help to achieve lasting stability. We provided transportation, prevented evictions, helped students graduate on time, returned money to hardworking taxpayers and did so much more.
This is the work of United Way of Greenville County, and it’s all made possible thanks to you.
Last year, we challenged ourselves to think differently about some of our community’s most complex challenges. We asked the people we serve to help us shape the solutions. We doubled down on what worked, reimagined what did not and moved with urgency when our community needed help the most.
The result is real progress and a return on investment we can all be proud of.
More students are on a path to graduation and opportunity.
More families have a place to call home.
More people received the help they needed to keep a small setback from becoming an insurmountable obstacle.
Behind every number is a person, and behind that person is a network of people who made it possible.
To our nonprofit partners, volunteers and generous donors: thank you. You are the force behind our work. To the United Way team, who leads with both compassion and determination every single day: thank you for never losing sight of why this matters.
I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am even more inspired by what we will do next.

HOW WE WORK
United Way of Greenville County mobilizes people and resources to build a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive — from early learning to housing stability and beyond.
INVEST
Community impact is at the heart of everything we do. Your support is an investment in proven, carefully vetted programs that create pathways out of poverty — through childcare, education, higher earnings, housing and transportation.
LEAD
United Way of Greenville County leads two hosted initiatives: OnTrack Greenville and Greenville Together. We provide the infrastructure, networks and resources these programs need to launch, grow and drive meaningful change — connecting public, private and nonprofit partners around solutions that move our community forward.
ACT
Through community initiatives including 211, VITA, AmeriCorps and direct services, we deliver hands-on support where it’s needed most. Our Community Relief work extends that commitment further, responding to disasters and community crises.
MOBILIZE
Through signature events, volunteer initiatives and corporate partnerships, United Way activates thousands of people each year who give their time, talent and resources in service of our neighbors.
invested in local programs and community-driven solutions
connections made through 211 for housing, food, utilities and crisis support

individuals gained employment
