United Way of Greenville County hires Courtney Beasley as Vice President of Marketing & Communications

United Way of Greenville County has hired Courtney Beasley to serve as its new Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

Beasley joins United Way after eight years at Walker Sands, a Chicago-based marketing agency focused on accelerating the growth of B2B brands, serving as the Vice President of Marketing for the last two years. Since 2012, her established team and marketing programs have contributed to over 1,200 percent growth in revenue, allowing the company to garner national attention as one of Inc. Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies, eight years consecutively.

As the Vice President of Marketing and Communications with United Way, Beasley will serve as a member of the organization’s senior leadership team and will be responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of marketing, public relations and communication strategies.

“We are excited to welcome Courtney to the United Way family,” said Meghan Barp, president and CEO of United Way of Greenville County. “Her experience, knowledge, energy and passion for helping others will be a great asset to our team and the community at-large.”

“The mission and vision of this organization speak directly to my personal passions—empowering individuals to recognize their full potential,” said Beasley. “It’s both humbling and an honor to assume a role that combines passion with professional pursuits and I look forward to creatively engaging with the dynamic community of Greenville County.”

For the past seven years, Beasley has been involved with Chicago nonprofit, Harmony, Hope & Healing, which helps vulnerable individuals and families heal and rebuild through the restorative power of music. Over the years, she’s helped support the organization’s marketing and fundraising initiatives and assumed the role of board vice president in January 2019.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Public Relations from the University of Dayton and is pursuing a certificate in Strategic Marketing from Northwestern University.
