Women United is a powerful philanthropic group comprised of corporate leaders and community volunteers passionate about advancing economic mobility for women in Greenville County. Women United also hosts a variety of impactful volunteer and networking opportunities, including our annual Women Make a Difference Luncheon.
WHAT WE DO
Leading the Charge
Communities need champions who understand their problems, see their potential and offer solutions that will make a difference. Education is one of the strongest anti-poverty tools, which is why Women United launched the Jobs to Careers Scholarship in 2010 to offer financial support and guidance to women looking to grow from basic job skills to higher-paying career opportunities.
Inspiring the Change
We ignite the power of women — who bring the passion, expertise, and resources needed to get things done — to create lasting change in Greenville County. Launching in September 2023, United Way of Greenville County’s inaugural Women United Summit will give Women United donors an opportunity to showcase the impact of their support and use their influence as an agent for change.
Celebrating the Impact
Our annual Women Make a Difference Luncheon celebrates the philanthropic impact of Greenville County women. We hear from a keynote speaker, share what we do and inspire other women to come alongside us in our work. The 2023 Women Make a Difference Luncheon will be part of our full-day Women United Summit in September — more information coming soon!
We offer year-round volunteer opportunities for Women United members, from mentoring and financial education to support of United Way signature events like School Tools and Project Joy.
