Corporate Giving

United Way of Greenville County’s corporate giving campaigns unite employees across all departments, offices or branches of a company, and give them an opportunity to donate, volunteer and learn more about Greenville County and the issues that matter to them.

A United Way campaign is about more than raising money for our work. It also deepens connections between employees and this amazing community, while supporting our vision of a Greenville County where all people have access to the opportunities to achieve their full potential.

Why partner with United Way?

For nearly 100 years, United Way has been a force for good in Greenville County. While our work has evolved to meet the challenges of the day, our mission remains much the same: We mobilize people and resources to improve lives, strengthen the community and advance equity for the benefit of all.

Today, that means a commitment to improving education, increasing financial stability, and building a vibrant and equitable community where a person’s zip code doesn’t limit his or her chance for success.

Through collaboration, innovation, volunteerism and strategic investment, we are achieving results. Because of the community’s support of United Way, more people have access to basic needs like food, housing, healthcare; more students are graduating high school; and more people are trained and hired for self-sustaining jobs.

Did you know?

Despite our successes as a community, not everyone in Greenville County shares in the prosperity.

  • Greenville County is ranked as one of the 10 hardest places to climb out of poverty.
  • 55,000 people in Greenville County were living in poverty — 1/3 of which are children — even before the pandemic.
  • 54% of white eighth-graders are meeting or exceeding math standards, compared to just 17% of Black and 29% of Hispanic students.

How can we help?

What can we expect?

Our team will partner with you to develop a custom program that aligns with your corporate values, as well as the particular interests of your employees. We provide training and support to assist you in building your volunteer team and running an effective workplace campaign. We provide a robust toolkit with all the resources needed to be successful — emails, videos, blogs, social media posts and more that can help employees understand the value and impact of their gift.

We can partner with you to drive employee engagement with team-building volunteer opportunities and trainings, professional development and education programs like our board leadership program, Propel Greenville, and our education series for young leaders, That’s My Greenville.
