Project Joy
Join us to make the season bright for Greenville County students and their families.
Project Joy was launched in 2020 to help make the season bright for families in our community by alleviating some of the burden of the holiday season and fulfilling a wish list of essential items. While most holiday programs focus on younger children, Project Joy specifically seeks to respond to the unmet needs of older students and their families.
In 2023, we doubled our impact, providing gifts and essential items for more than 700 Greenville County kids. We look forward to an incredible 2024, and we hope you’ll join us!

Yes! Gift receipts are not required, but certainly help if the gift — like clothing or shoes — doesn’t fit.
Yes, please wrap your gifts before delivering to United Way. We recommend wrapping gifts as individually as possible — because who doesn’t love to open a bunch of presents? Just be sure to label all gifts (see next question).
It is important that you label each gift with the family number (and specific child within that family if applicable) to avoid any potential mix-up during distribution. Please wrap and label gifts as follows: Family A5/Child 1, Family A5, Child 2, etc.
