Join us to ensure all Greenville County students receive the tools they need to achieve their full potential.
United Way of Greenville County’s annual School Tools program returns Saturday, August 2, 2025. School Tools is a far-reaching community initiative with hundreds of volunteers mobilized over the summer break to help our community’s students start school ready to succeed.
United Way supporters pitch in to collect supplies and backpacks, while local companies host donation drives to reach the goal of ensuring all Greenville County students have access to the opportunities to achieve their full potential.
Every student deserves to walk into the classroom feeling confident and prepared. That’s why United Way of Greenville County is working to provide more than 5,000 local students with backpacks filled with essential school supplies for the 2025–26 school year—and we need your help to make it happen. Here are three great ways to get involved:
Using the recommended supplies list below, help us reach our goal by donating supplies and/or completed backpacks.
Prefer to let us do the shopping? Your generous donation helps us purchase additional backpacks and supplies to ensure every child we serve is set up for success.
Sponsorships are a powerful way to support local students, or an entire classroom, while showcasing your organization’s commitment to education and the future of Greenville County. Click here for details on our School Tools sponsorships.
