United Way of Greenville County partners with local businesses, individuals, government and nonprofits in a community-wide effort to address the human care needs of our community. By committing to conduct a workplace campaign, you join more than 700 local organizations that support the annual fund-raising effort. Last year, more than 36,000 donors invested in our community through their United Way workplace campaign.
Running a Workplace Campaign in Your Company
A United Way workplace campaign allows you to support our entire community. Your employees receive valuable information about the needs in Greenville County and can easily help address those needs with a generous gift utilizing the convenience of payroll deduction.
Organizations of any size, ranging from two to five thousand employees or more, can participate. Your organization is also given the opportunity to be recognized among other leading community organizations throughout Greenville County.

Running a Palmetto Society Workplace Campaign in Your Company
The Palmetto Society campaign is a subset of the overall United Way employee campaign directed at securing gifts of $1,000 or more. Palmetto Society prospects participate in a special solicitation for leadership giving. The CEO typically hosts a solicitation event, a lunch, breakfast or cocktails, and/or sends a personalized letter. A United Way volunteer leader and/or agency speaker are often part of the meeting. These functions should include your company’s current Palmetto Society members to ask for their renewed support and to thank them for their leadership and generosity.
