Hands On Greenville Day 2025: 2,000 Volunteers. 40 Projects. One Incredible Day of Service.
On a beautiful Saturday in May, Greenville County volunteers of all ages united for Hands On Greenville (HOG) Day—the largest single-day volunteer event in the Upstate.
More than 2,000 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to make a difference at 40 service project sites across the county. From painting classrooms and planting community gardens to revitalizing parks and supporting local nonprofits, each project was a powerful example of what we can accomplish when we work together for the greater good.
But the impact of HOG Day goes far beyond the physical improvements. By taking on essential maintenance and beautification tasks, our Hands On Greenville Day volunteers help community organizations save thousands of dollars—money that can instead be invested in providing critical direct services like food assistance, housing support, educational programs, and mental health care. It’s a win for everyone in our community.
Hands On Greenville Day is more than just a day of service—it’s a celebration of our great community and our commitment to building a stronger Greenville County for everyone.
And at United Way, we believe that united is the way—the way forward, the way through challenges, and the way to lasting change.

To everyone who served, thank you. You are what makes Greenville County shine.
