The Upstate’s largest annual day of service returned on Saturday, April 30, as 2,100 community volunteers rolled up their sleeves to serve across Greenville County. After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, Hands On Greenville Day was back with more than 50 projects at local schools, parks and United Way partner organizations.
In just a few hours on a Saturday morning, volunteers from 70 teams landscaped, painted, cleaned and built their way to an estimated economic impact of $250,000 across our community!
It was such an incredible feeling to be back out with our partners and volunteers. Greenville County is such a caring place, and the spirit of volunteerism is alive and well. Thank you to all of the families, companies, community groups and individuals who got their hands on Greenville with us.
This day would not have been possible without our sponsors: Michelin North America, Inc.; Humana; Publix Super Markets; Westminster Presbyterian Church; Forge Search; GE; ITW Hartness; Jacobs; UPS Inside Sales; Bausch + Lomb; Dodge Industrial; Duke Energy; EverConvert; EY; Ingram Micro; JTEKT; QuikTrip; Southern First Bank; aeSolutions; Blue Ridge Electric; Carolina Power; Coastal Carolina National Bank; First Community Bank; First Palmetto Bank; Gordian; Proterra; Resurgent Humanitarian Council; Sealed Air; Womble Bond Dickinson; and Woodward FST, Inc.
