United Way offers multiple leadership development opportunities, including programs like Propel Greenville and That’s My Greenville, as well as events like The Great Conversation. These opportunities give our invested community members a chance to learn more about our focus areas and build skills to serve in community leadership roles.
Propel Greenville
A partnership of United Way and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Propel Greenville is a six-week board training and executive leadership program that exposes participants to integral elements of board membership and effective volunteer service, preparing graduates to serve our community in leadership roles.
That’s My Greenville
Focusing on both leadership development and a deep exploration of community issues, That’s My Greenville participants attend monthly sessions to build knowledge and aptitude. Upon completion, leaders will have clear pathways and competency to serve meaningfully in board service, volunteerism and civic engagement.
Great Conversation
The Great Conversation connects young professionals with influential community leaders and United Way advocates. Through these conversations, we hope to create an intimate space to hear from local leaders on the importance of philanthropy and civic engagement — and how giving back to our community can positively influence your career.
AmeriCorps Upstate
AmeriCorps Upstate creates access to services for people in need. Our members connect Upstate families and individuals with community resources like financial classes and tools, educational programs, food, and social service applications for SNAP benefits and Medicaid.
