Project Joy: Making Spirits Bright in 2022

Back in 2020, we launched Project Joy to alleviate the burden of the holiday season for Greenville County parents, focusing on the often-neglected needs of middle and high school students.

Since then, we have made the holidays brighter for over 1,500 students!

As we put a bow on this year’s Project Joy, we are so proud of the work this generous community has put into bringing joy to Greenville County students and their families. Thanks to the support of hundreds of donors and volunteers — and wonderful partners like Forge Search + Consulting; GreenWood, Inc; Holcim; Humana; ICAP Solutions; JTEKT North America; and United Bank — we were able to provide essential items and plenty of fun surprises for 529 students across 11 local schools.

This holiday season, nearly 200 families can enjoy time together knowing that their children are provided for with new clothes, school supplies, personal care items and much more. And your support continues to help us build a future where all people in Greenville County have access to the opportunities to achieve their full potential. Thank you.

Still hungry for volunteer opportunities? We’re already planning for an exciting 2023, starting with our MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 16. We’re also looking ahead to the return of United Way Hands On Greenville Day. Click here to learn more about how you can get involved.
